First of all, what is the difference between the brightness and illuminance of LED luminaires?
 The brightness of LED luminaires is a physical quantity that refers to the intensity (reflection) of light on the surface of the light source (reflector). The human eye observes the light source from one direction. The ratio of the light intensity in this direction to the area of the light source seen by the human eye is defined as the unit brightness of the light source, i.e. the luminous intensity of the unit projection area. When we stand in a particular position to observe an illuminated surface, we can see the brightness of that surface. Luminance is the degree to which the light emitted or reflected from an object is perceived by the human eye, i.e. focused on the degree of human perception.

The illuminance of an LED light, in short, is the amount of light emitted by the bulb. The luminous flux incident in a certain direction on a surface with a certain intensity. At this point, the illuminance of the surface can be measured. Illuminance, an objective parameter, is the amount of light that we use an instrument to detect that actually reaches a surface. That is, how much light falls on the surface of the illuminated object.

Not surprisingly, illuminance is related not only to the material and color of the reflector, but also to the position and angle of the human eye. Also, the illuminance value is the same whether the surface is black or white, wood or stone. The surface will reflect light, possibly specularly and more likely diffusely, reflecting light from many directions in space.

Secondly, how does the illuminance and brightness of LED lighting affect our lives?

All indoor space lighting needs to be evaluated for illuminance levels on the work surface, but with attention to illuminance and color temperature adaptation. For example, in our work, it is not enough to change the light color of the office, but also pay attention to the illumination. High illuminance and low color temperature will make people feel stuffy, while low illuminance and high color temperature will make people feel depressed and tired, resulting in lower work efficiency.

In life, there will be such a problem:it looks bright, but it doesn't feel bright enough. What we want is the brightness of the space. Strictly speaking, lighting design is the design of the distribution of brightness in a space, according to the function of the space and human activities. This distribution of light and darkness also includes the LED light itself as a spatial element.
